I may or may not have this problem

source

If I had a dollar for every night I have stayed up too late reading, I would be a wealthy woman. While other people are waking up on a weekend morning hungover from late night parties, I am bleary eyed from reading.

Each week I drive over to the local library with my book bag in hand. Most weeks I have pre ordered my books so they are ready to pick up when I get there, but that doesn't stop me from doing a bit of browsing. I would hate to miss a good book, and since I also take out books for my mom, that means I leave with a lot of books.

These are the two that I will be reading over the next couple of days.

It's amazing that neither of these are mysteries, because nine times out of ten I am completely caught up in a good whodunit. I just finished reading the last of the Tradd Street ghost mysteries by Karen White. It always makes me sad when a series ends, because I become so heavily invested in the characters. I mean really, how am I supposed to know what is happening to them.

So, if you are looking for me I'll have my head buried in a book while enjoying a little snack. YAWN!!! Until tomorrow.

What is on your reading list.

  2. I am a David Baldocci fan and John Grishom fan. When I pick up one of their books, I can look for hangover. Oh yes, I will stay up at least three nights until it is finished and then wish I hadn't read so fast. I love to read.

    1. I have never read anything by either one of them. I will have to give them a try. I always hate when I read so fast, too.

  5. I have chosen three books for the book club to choose from, but haven't had the time on my blog to tell them about it. I have a book I've had for years next to my bed. I think it's called: "Daniel Isn't Talking." I haven't had a chance to start it. If there's any reason I have stayed up late, it's usually caused by not being able to stop reading a book!

    1. I know, I get so engrossed, Brenda that I can't stop. Then unfortunately no matter what time I fall asleep my inner clock wakes me up at six. I have never heard of that book. Read it and let us know how it is.

BTW, as an avid book lover, you can try Kindle - eBook reader. It helps to store thousands of books and you can avoid going to library often. Please have a look at the below link for more information.

  9. I love reading too! Mostly mysteries and Theology. Love that book image with the pocket watch! This afternoon I should probably try to accomplish something, but actually instead, I'm going to watch the part of Frontline (on PBS) that I missed last night. It's fascinating. All about the 'U.S. of Secrets' about the NSA's gathering of info on everyone. Both political parties were and are complicit, which just annoys me to death that they're all lying to us, telling us what they think we want to hear. Okay, off my soap box now. LOL Have a wonderful day, Laura. Have a good read.

    1. I always think it is interesting how some people become readers and others aren't into it. My younger sister hated reading when she was younger, but now she is addicted too :)

  14. Our local library loves me, lol...because I peruse the new list and bring the books in through them. Apparently since I've gotten here, the stats have jumped.

I love finding new to me books, and authors through other bloggers.
